Based on the popular language "bibles," "The Blue Pocket Book of French Verbs" and "The Red Pocket Book of Spanish Verbs" are the most comprehensive, clearest, and easiest-to-use sources for beginning and intermediate learners. Now these books are even more convenient for school or home use thanks to their smaller trim size. But these pocket-sized guides are still mightier than all of the competition in this format. These portable guides offer smooth sailing through the turbulent seas of a new grammar with: 333 fully conjugated verbs, listed alphabetically; current idioms and expressions for each verb; full facing page of usage examples for the top 50 verbs; one-stop, at-a-glance verb-tense profiles; more than 2,200 verbs cross-referenced to models; a handy guide to deciphering irregular verb forms; and an English index to the model verbs.

This book has received good reviews in the paperback edition and it may well deserve them, however the Kindle edition is worse than useless. You can't search in a meaningful way and many of the pages appear to be images which can't be zoomed and are so tiny that you need a powerful magnifying glass to see any detail. I did download the trial section before buying and the first few pages looked ok, it is further on in the book where there are pages of conjugated verbs that it becomes unreadable. This book has not been designed for the kindle and in my opinion is an absolute waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! 25 Oct 2008
Format:Paperback
This little book is great! I have definitely had a lot of use out of this and still do at university. I would recommend this for the use of GCSE, and even up to A-level, or further. It's very handy, one spanish verb per page, showing approx 16 tenses, each all broken down showing 1st, 2nd person etc. There are only 333 verbs in this book, but it shows the most commonly used ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy reference resource 14 April 2009
Format:Paperback
This book is nice and small, yet easy to use and the font is big enough to read with comfort.

There are 333 verbs in this book, and each verb gets a full page detailing all the tenses. I've compared it to the Big Red book and I actually prefer the format of the smaller pocket sized version - somehow it's just easier to navigate and understand at a glance.

There is also a handy explanation of all the tenses at the beginning, and also a list of the "top 30 verbs" with page numbers for easy reference. I recommend this pocket book!

5.0 out of 5 stars The most useful book ever! 3 Jun 2009
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is my bible in Spanish Class. The layout is really easy to follow and the examples it gives for each verb really help you to get a grasp of how to use some of the different conjugations. The only downside is that, although 333 verbs seems like a lot, when you get to intermediate level, there will be the odd verb that you can't find in this book. Because of it's size and cost though, it's worth every penny as you can take it everywhere with you.

5.0 out of 5 stars verbs you need 31 Oct 2009
Format:Paperback
This is the absolutely indispensable book for those seeking to learn spanish. Along with useful examples of use each verb is shown in all tenses. The book highlights the 50 most used verbs in spanish which, once learnt, enables you to get by in spanish. There is no confusing differentiation between regular and irregular verbs just the information you need.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent but difficult to read 19 Feb 2010
Format:Paperback
This is an excellent verb book if you are studying Spanish to GCSE or AS level. The problem is that it is a pocket sized book and so the print is VERY small. If you have failing eyesight I suggest that you do not purchase this book but go for the bigger version, as the pocket version is VERY difficult to read.

Quick delivery and useful for all verb endings and reference points. A little bigger than I expected but still essential for the student of Spanish

I bought this thinking I would carry it around in my bag and look up verbs as I need them, but it's too heavy to be considered a "pocket" book. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Sample Size
Small sample size made it difficult to assess search facility. I have this book in paperback and it is very good; would like to know how it "stands up" on Kindle before buying.

A compact, comprehensive book of spanish verbs, which was what I wanted, but in extremely small print! I almost need a magnifying glass to read it.
