About the Author

Caryl Hart is a full time children's writer, who also runs creative workshops with local schools. She lives on the top of a windy hill in the Peak District with her guitar-playing husband, two cheeky daughters, one extremely fluffy black cat, a goldfish, four hens and an invisible dog called Paddy. She spends her spare time digging her allotment and organizing community projects, and going for long walks, especially if they end up at a cafe. Her favourite place is the local library because it's warm and full of books. Edward Eaves is an up-and-coming young illustrator with a growing reputation and several successful children's books under his belt. Ed lives with his wife in Kent.

I bought this book having read two of the others to death. Despite my son still loving all of them his dad and I needed a change! I'm happy to say Pirate Pool has been another big hit. My son has loved these books since he was just a few months old and now that he is almost 2 requests them every night "Albie story!” I have bought another two from the collection for his second birthday and I'm not sure who is more excited.

I bought this book for my 4 1/2 year old as he likes all the books by Caryl Hart. It is fun, colourful and easy to read.
Although my son loves the book, he still likes "Supermarket Zoo" and "How to Grow a Dinosaur best".
Looking forward to the next book in the series which looks like being something about Knights,

This is the 4th book about Albie and his adventures. My daughter loves them. We read them again and again. The illustrations are bright and the stories entertaining. Plunge into the Pirate Pool didn't disappoint. If you haven't tried these books then you are missing a treat!

My little one loves Albie and has all the books in the series. I think this is the least favourite though, it's just not quite as good as the others. It doesn't seem to flow as nicely as the others. Still recommended though.

Every night my kiddo asks for his Pirate book. Another hit from Caryl Hart! I'll definitely be buying any more she brings out in the future.
