The sand pit is made from premium FSC certified timber so will blend easily into any garden. The wood is rounded at the corners for added safety. Easy to assemble and it comes with a protective cover and ground sheet. The internal textile ground cover prevents weeds from growing through and allows water to drain out. For added versatility just add a pool liner and the sand pit converts into a paddling pool, add play balls and you have an instant ball pit to keep your young children amused for hours.

This is a good sandpit and as far as I could tell: reasonably priced for the product. We have had it for two weeks and so far it seems to be doing well! The green cover holds up against curious cats and thunderstorms a treat. We originally wanted to put it on top of a paved surface but the shape of the product means that the best place for it is dug in the ground or on top of the lawn.
I have two small complaints - firstly the panels of the sandpit are balanced on top of each other so if you lean onto the sides then the sides of the pit shift and fall apart. We will have to buy some additional fixtures in order to make the pit more solid and safer.
Secondly, the directions said 4x15kg bags would be enough - we got 3x25kg and I think it should have at least 5x25kg.
All in all it has gone down a treat with the kids - may it bring many years of such joy!!

With so many different types of sand pits available it was a hard choice to make and the reviews were mixed, so the sale offer finally swung it. Overall it is a good product but could be excellent with a bit of extra work from the manufacturer. The pieces are well cut and slot together nicely, not bad for a six sided shape, and the screws supplied are a good type for driving into the wood. The product falls down when you come to move it because the slats are not connected to each other, the assembly needs angled blocks to each of the corners to screw the whole thing together to make it more robust. The 'seat' around the perimeter is very good as it is just right for little ones to either sit on and play or lean into the sandpit comfortably. Sand, you'll need lots. The cover fits nicely and my 4 year old can put it on by himself, again just to make it a quality product, it needs to be supplied with something to prop the centre of the cover up to make the rain shed off. They obviously know it is an issue because they advise you to use something in the instructions - come on Plum Products supply something to do the job! Overall money well spent even if it does need extra work to finish it off.

we got this sand pit for our 5 year old. after searching for one on few websites we decided to go for this one.
not too expensive and it does come with waterproof cover.
putting it together gave us a little headache and the wooden slats don't fit perfectly as we wish. but overall we managed to fix it quick.
it's just the perfect size for a garden, we bought 8 x 15kg bags of sand and i feel it's not enough.
we can't get out little one out of the sand pit. keep building sand castles.
make sure you get some spades, racks and buckets
it's lot of fun even for an adult

its been a year now and the sandpit is still in use. the waterproof cover still protects the sandpit from unwanted visitors, but after every rain there is a puddle which is hard to get rid off. i wish we treated the wood with something as it does starts to look unattractive.
in one corner the wood starts to come apart, i think the producent should definetly put more attention to accurately fit the sandpits parts together
i would recomend it to a friend bacause of the afordable price, but would advise to start with covering with wood varnish or anything that protects the wood kept outside
