Lonnie Kelly the star of Jill Winter's "Plum Girl" is spending her days temping for Beauregrad Twit at the law firm Twit and Bell. And while she is working she trying to decide her career plans and if she is in love with Dominick, a man that she has not seen since college. But something is up at Twit and Bell, and after Lonnie and Dominick find one of the senior partner dead its up to them to find out who the killer is, before they are next!
"Plum Girl" started out real interesting, but when I got to the last twenty pages or so, it just fell apart. It was like the writer didn't know how to end the book. This is a good book, but just realized that ending is not very good.

I could not put this book down. It was hip, original, smart, entertaining, and super sexy! Dominick and Lonnie really heat up the sheets, and the mystery had some very clever twists. Highly recommend Plum Girl for a totally satisfying, funny, and passionate read!

Those looking for an escapist novel to pass the time will want to pick up this novel. In it, Lonnie Kelley finds her life at multiple crossroads. Attempting to pay off her student loans, she is working as a temp. assistant to the aptly named Beauregard Twit at the law firm of Twit and Bell. She is also torn between her established romance with long distance love Terry and very close and very tempting Dominick. Office polictics takes a deadly turn over the holidays when the Bell half of the firm winds up dead at the Christmas party. Now, Lonnie finds herself trying to solve the mystery before the killer strikes again in additon to all her other concerns.

* While this book does fall into the current popular format, it never really held my interest. There was too little romance, too little mystery, and too much angst; leaving me to feel like it really went nowhere. However, it is hoped that perhaps there will be a sequel pertaining to Lonnie's younger sister, who was a very interesting character. *
