This book is one of the best books i've bought. It has numerous ideas of ways to not only entertain your dog, but games to also help young dogs increase in their confidence and use their brian more. Unlike other books this book doesn't entail needing to purchase lots of expensive equipment, it encourages you to be inventive and use items you would find in the home, or out on a walk. An excellent book for a new dog owner, or an owner who has a dog that, like mine needs mentally challenging regularly to keep him calm and happy. Definately worth its money.

This is a really great book. You don't need to buy any special toys, there are loads of ideas using things in your home like creating an agility course out of chairs. There are lots of pictures and all the activities are clearly described. You can pick up at any point through out the book and skip past any ideas you don't fancy. I'd highly recommend it.

This is a creative, fun resource with lots of unusual, adaptable ideas for playing with your dog. It's completely clicker-based and the training steps are clear and detailed, with good photos to illustrate. I recommend this book routinely to my behavior modification clients and to people who need to occupy a convalescent dog or who are trying to keep a young, energetic dog from going batty in bad weather. But anybody who wants to add more fun to their relationship with their dog, or who has the Deeply Serious aim of increasing their dog's focus on them, will love "Playtime for Your Dog."
The translation from the German is a little wonky at times, which for my money only adds to the book's charm. I'm amazed that the English-language edition has been out for over a year and yet I'm the first reviewer here. Dog people! Get this book! |
