I've wanted to get these leads for ages, but the price; until now was totally unjustifiable (especially if you have a PS3 on HDMI). But now with the PS2 plugged into a Plasma you get almost correct 16:9 ratio making the old console like a PS2.5 upgrade.
Having had trouble finding the Sony branded PS/3 component lead I searched in Amazon and was presented with a number of options. I opted for the Ixos product as it appeared of reasonable quality from the picture.
The product turned out to be well made, with gold plated terminals and covered with a plastic mesh, similar to the fruit bags used to contain satsumas. Possibly this reduces its likelihood of getting caught on other cables - useful condsidering the rats nest of leads that accumulates behind most TVs.
Picture quality and sound is good and noticeably better than the component to Scart adapter I had been using. Not having an HD TV I can't comment on its performance but you'd surely be using HDMI in this case.

For my PS3, produces same quality as HDMI. If you use a HD PVR, this is the product for you.
