I bought this for my son who is 3.5 months. I had a older version (about 10 years old) for my daughter when she was a little baby and she loved it. I had to get rid of it when we moved so I bought it again for my son. However,I was very disappointed. They have updated the toy and in doing so a lot of its value is lost. First, it is way too sensitive to touch--you only have to very lightly graze it (i.e., walk by it) and the things starts going. Second, when it is activated, it goes on for minutes. These two things together, make it impossible for the baby to know that if it hit the thing, it will go off. Therefore, the value of learning cause and effect is lost.
On the older version, my daughter would kick the thing and then it would go on briefly and then turn off so she knew she had to kick it again to get it to go. I am very disappointed that it no longer works so well. It used to be a great toy but no longer is.

we bought this when my baby was 8 weeks and she loved it from the moment she saw it. she can now (at 13 weeks) kick happily for upto half an hour, we put it in her cot during playtime, against the end of the cot (so she cant push the toy away from her) and combine the entertainment with her mobile above her.
the only slight problem ive found is the my baby often kicks at the yellow side supports, so ive just put some padding on them. folds well for storage under the cot.

My 12 week old daughter absolutely loves it and so do I! As soon as I turn it on I know I'm going to get at least 30 minutes me time and I know that my daughter will be happy! If mine broke tomorrow, I'd go out and buy another - that's the best review I can give it. BUY ONE!

Disappointed
It is quite flimsy and not very stable. When baby kicks the kick pad it doesn't actually do anything, you have to really shake the whole thing to make it make a sound. Read more
