I love Playmobil advent calendars, as they are so much fun and provide a toy that lasts beyond Christmas. This set is really good for kids who like animals, as each day contaisn either a little forest animal or a bit of food. It's really sweet.

I bought my kids this calendar last Christmas and they very much enjoyed having it and were very excited to open it each morning. You build the display piece by piece (sometimes more than 1 at a time) and they can play with it too :o). I wouldn't advise it for people with small children in the house though because there are lots of small part which could get swallowed.
It does take a long time to set up so prepare to spend an hour or so working out which part is what and then packing them into the tiny cardboard boxes... playmobil could have made it much easier if they had bothered. The calendar is also very expensive but I suppose you could save it and reuse it... or pass it on!

My three-year-old daughter really enjoyed this advent calendar. She raced to open the door each morning. It's been a great way to improve her counting over ten as she has to work out which number the following day will be.
I'd initially baulked at the price but when compared to how much you pay for individual Playmobil sets, it's fantastic value as there's loads in the calendar.
Look forward to buying next year's one!

Cheap plastic animals. Calendar took ages to build . For same money u can buy a lego one. Would not buy again.
