I bought the Fire Chief's car for my three year old son. It is a sturdy toy and comes with a few accessories. Its hard to pinpoint exactly why this is my least favourite Playmobil toy so far. Maybe it's because the car failed to capture my son's imagination like other Playmobil toys (e.g., the Fire engine with ladder, crane or recycling truck). My son doesnt even use the Fire chief's car to tow his fireboat, he prefers to use his fire engine. Maybe it's because I don't like the design of the removable roof and windscreen. Someone else mentioned in their review about the windscreen breaking. I can see how this would easily happen - with a child leaning on the toy when pushing it along. I have avoided this happening by removing the roof & windscreen (because I have a baby who would no doubt lean on it).
I don't want to sound too critical because it is still a good toy, but for my son it did not spark the same level of excitement and storytelling as other Playmobil toys.

This was great value for what you get in the box - lots of accessories, cool off road axles that really move, and a removable roof to let junior get his other toys to hop on board (whether playmobil characters or just half a biscuit). It goes really well with all our other playmobil bits and pieces, and I got to enjoy assambling it all too, bonus.

My 3 year old son got this for his birthday. When i was putting it togther i had problems understanding the instructions regarding the wheels/axels - my husband did also. I am still not sure if they are in correctly.
I used to have playmobil as a child & my parents still have some of it which my children now play with, I think the older stuff was made far better. I have alot of the new playmobil & find things fall apart easily (The fire station & Zoo especially!) I am so feed up putting all the toys back together! Its the same with this car, I am forever putting the roof & front window back in. My son lent on the car when he was pushing it along & broke part of the windscreen & the roof slightly bent - he wasnt leaning very hard so i was really disappointed.
I guess if your children can put it back together themselves & play really gently with it then it would good.
My son's (the 3 who play with it) love the car & dont mind it being broken which is why i gave it 3 stars.

I brought this item to go along side some fireman Sam toys for my 3 year old. It iOS good fun and well worth the pennies. The delivery was prompt and packaged well. Very pleased.

Fire Chiefs Car
I purchased this for my 7 year old Grandson and he is well pleased with it. It is strong and sturdy and he spends hours playing with it.The cones and box etc are ecellent extras.
