Searched Amazon on product number Playmobil 4490. Up came Argos with a good price, and a Argos web site photo of the correct Farm Set. But when it was delivered it was a much smaller farm set.
Completely misleading. We all make mistakes, but when Argos asked for a product review, and I said te product was very good, but they did not deliver per their web site photo, I got a reply that m y review would not be published as "it did not meet their criteria" Of course it didn't, it told the truth, that Argos advertise a dfferent product from the one they delivered.

My son got this for his 3rd birthday. We have had many playmobil toys in the past. He loves it! But... we have to re-assemble it everyday after he plays with it and the side portions of the barn come off (as well as numerous other pieces). Very hard to keep intact, and setup takes a lot of parental work (plan on a full evening of setup). My 5 year old daughter can play with it, however, without any pieces coming off. I think the item is intended for older ages, but we still love it!

I purchased this for a 5 year old for his birthday. He was very excited to play with it and played with it for almost the entire night. Then we had to pick it up and carry it upstairs to his bedroom and the sides fell off. Well....I thought I guess we need to be careful with this toy. I set it on top of a small shelf so that he could play with it in a way that he wouldn't have to move it, but then he couldn't get to the back part of the barn, so he picked it up and set it on the floor (he did not hammer on it or play roughly with it....he just moved it!) and the roof popped off. It is not that hard for me to put it back together (a little time consuming, yes, but not hard), but it is not very easy for a five year old to put back together. Now it is dismantled and stored in a toy drawer and it doesn't get played with very much because it has to be put back together. Also, if you are unfortunate enough to misplace a few of the little pegs that hold this together (because it keeps falling apart when you try to move it and you get tired of putting it back together and hunting for little pegs, and you decide to just store it in pieces) then you will have a hard time ever getting it back together again.
The little people and the animals and tools are still enjoyed.
If I had it to do over I would not buy the barn. I would just buy a kit with people and some other little extras. I am disappointed in the price I paid vs. the amount of time this toy is being played with. The quality of the pieces is very good, but if you have to keep putting the pieces back together, then the quality is not as important.

My two year old granddaughter really enjoys this toy! If you are purchasing for a young child, take the time to put it together first, rather than wrapping and presenting it to them in the box. Yes, that may be easier for you to wrap, but younger children quickly lose interest in a toy that must be assembled. Also, the roof of the barn will collapse if you allow your two year old to sit on it during assembly. It goes back on quickly though!
I wish I had gotten a few more animals to go with this, but that offers other opportunities for later gift giving.
One note of caution is that this toy does have a lot of small parts that could be easily picked up by rugrats. So beware for little brothers and sisters.
