My son wants to be a pilot. He has almost every toy from Playmobil that is airport related.

This airport is wonderful, and I even find myself playing (ahem, developing enriching playtime experiences) with my son.

There is a moving gangway that fits perfectly with the Playmobil airplanes or cargo planes. Airport security. Baggage claim!

Best toy in the world.

My son and I love playing.

The assembly is a bit involved and once built can be easily knocked down by any heavy handed youngster. My 4 year old was a bit perplexed why it has a luggage scanner but not one for people and how people get to the observation deck without stairs! The other annoying bit of design is the signs which pop out the instant you put your hand into the building.

We havent given the airport to my son yet (waiting for Christmas). We did however open it up and pre-assemble it to reduce the chaos on Christmas morning.

Its really durable and easy to assemble - the only hard part was getting my husband to stop playing with it long enough to get it back in the box...

Beautiful and realistic toy that sparks the imagination, but has flaws 17 Jan. 2009
By E. Huinda - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
We bought the airline terminal, airport tower, and both jets for our twin 4-year-old boys' birthday. They LOVE the set. The airline terminal is beautiful and very realistic, from it's turning luggage conveyor belt, to the security screening area, pay telephone, computer screens, and security lights.

Take note that the airport takes some time to put together. It's not hard, but I HIGHLY recommend putting it together BEFORE your child sees it. I spent about 2 hours assembling it. I recommend also keeping the extra little screws and tool they provide as I find myself using it every now and then to put some of the pieces back together.

While our boys absolutely love playing with the set, as other customers have noted with these products, the pieces do come off a little too easily. Our boys enjoy deconstructing things, so I frequently find parts of the airport here and there and have to pop them back on, otherwise they might get lost forever. Some parts I don't mind being moved around; however, other pieces like the roof itself should have been designed as one large unit instead of 3 take-apart pieces, same goes with the corridor. This is why I gave the airport 4 stars instead of 5.
PS...All of Playmobil's products we bought direct from the manufacturer. It's generally cheaper on their website.

Years of fun 4 Nov. 2010
By J. Stieg - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
My parents gave this to our two boys at least two years ago and the boys (who are now 5 and 8) still love playing with it. The five-year-old especially enjoys it. We love how detailed it is. They boys (and their friends) sometimes will take it apart, but I've found it easy enough to put back together. It's like a puzzle. We also have the control tower and the airplane. Now I'm looking for more related toys to add to their set.

Playmobil Airport Terminal 13 April 2008
By J. Bruick - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
The best thing about Playmobil is their fantastic attention to detail! This airport terminal is filled with cool small details that make it fun for our son AND us. The one drawback is that it's pretty easy for the pieces to snap apart (and there are LOTS of small pieces), so when our 2-year-old tries to "help" the passengers walk around the airport, pieces easily come apart. It's definitely a better toy for our 4-year-old!

Backscatter or Pat Down? 3 Dec. 2010

The TSA agents come equipped with gloves ready to touch your junk - but don't worry - they'll use the back of their hands.
