5.0 out of 5 stars I can see clearly.... 24 April 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
If you are anything like me, you have a big pile of pretty patterned papers in your stash that you have no idea what to do with. If so, this book is a great way to get some ideas on how to use up that pile and also how to think logically when buying patterned papers in the future.

The book is divided into chapters and starts off slowly giving you ideas on how to incorporate one pattern on a page and then goes forward with two, three and so on. Before long, you'll have half a dozen patterns on your page and you'll be wondering why you ever stumbled this hurdle. Of course, together with the guidance on how to use patterned paper, there is also inspiration to gleaned from the layouts in the book in terms of placement of photos and embellishments, journalling, titles and page ideas.

This book is a sound investment and contains a number of great tips on how to approach the beautiful world of patterned paper and come out the other side with some great looking layouts. I have managed to work my way through a quarter of my stash using the ideas in this book which, of course, means I now have to go shopping to buy some more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Playing with Paper -WOW! 9 Mar 2009
By Karen McGary - Published on Amazon.com
This book is much more than a scrapbook idea book illustrating great uses and combos of patterned paper but a reference you will use over and over to create eye catching layouts. Angelia has a amazing eye for design, balance, using multi-photos and combining patterned papers in a playful and appealing manner- the majority of the examples in the book were created by the author.

DO NOT forget to read this one as Angelia offers "design secrets" in her written words. While the layouts are 110% worth the cost of this book, reading her text is like being in her head as she designs her pages. The "how & why" of the layout is explained clearly and concisely.

I am thrilled to see an entire book of Angelia's layouts- Waiting for Book #2 ...

I purchased this book as a gift but after it arrived and I read and looked I was hooked! I kept the book and ended up ordering my friend another copy for her birthday. Love the ideas and love the photos. I have already marked several pages that I plan on using the ideas and layouts in my own scrapbooks. This book makes it easy to use patterned papers. By the way, my friend also loves her copy of this book.

I marked 15 layouts in this book I'd like to try. Arranging paper in a collage fashion is a challenge for me and this one presents the techniques so well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving this book! 15 Mar 2009
By H. K. - Published on Amazon.com
I have always loved Angelia Wigginton's style. She has an amazing sense of design and style. One of my favorite things about her layouts is how she mixes & matches patterned paper that I would never have thought to put together. In this book, she not only has great examples of her work, but she explains how to get the same look to work for you and why she does things a certain way. It's a great resource for any scrapbooker!
