More About the Author

By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to a terrible two year old and growing bump, due September 2013. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of juice and writes books.
She likes to write about magic, kisses and whatever else she can fit into the story. Sarcastic, witty characters are a must. As are hot guys. Emma is currently working too many books to even count - including Playing for Keeps, the companion book to the New York Times and USA Today bestseller, The Love Game. She likes to be busy - unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.

I loved both Megan and Aston in the first book, and I'm so happy I read this. My heart ached for Aston the whole way through and the love they felt for each other brought tears to my eyes.

Another fantastic book by Emma Hart x

I was really excited for Megan and Aston's story. Me personally can relate to what Aston went through and is still going through and I thought emma told the sorry brilliantly.

I'm hoping it could be Kay's book next (fingers crossed) :D x

Blurb:
She's in love with him.
He's trying not to love her.
One night changes everything.

Aston Banks never meant to get close to Megan Harper – not even for that one night. Haunted by a childhood he refuses to face, he knew she could break through every wall he’d ever built and tear them down without even realizing she was doing it.

Betraying Braden by starting a relationship with Aston wasn’t on Megan’s to-do list, but the second she sees a glimpse of someone other than the arrogant ass she’s come to know, she can’t walk away.

Aston’s childhood is worse than Megan ever guessed, but as he tries and fails to push her away, it’s clear her love is stronger than the demons that cling to him every day. And now, because of it, he finally has to deal with what he’s buried deep down.

What he doesn’t want to face. What he’s fought against for so long.

And they have to do it all without Braden finding out.

Keeping a relationship secret has never been harder

xoxo

If you enjoyed reading The Love Game then you'll love this next installment of The Game Series. All the same characters are back but this time Megan and Aston are in the spotlight. Megan loves Aston but can she get through to the real Aston and bypass the arrogant jack the lad he shows the world.
He has a devil may care attitude due to his childhood but she starts to effect him and he worries about what will happen if she gets through to him. All this is happening in secret because of Braden. Their journey is sweet and her loves shines through every step of the way.
His Gramps is a great laugh, very thoughtful and understanding. His chats with Megan are insightful and informative.
Megan is a big book reader in this book and there are regular quotes from her favourite books, however, one of the best lines you'll ever find in a book is said by Megan herself - "There really is no place like the one you find between the pages of a book"
Aston will slowly find a place in your heart so read this book and enjoy him finding himself.

Playing For Keeps is the second book in Emma Hart’s The Game series. I downloaded it straight after reading The Love Game.

Playing For Keeps is all about two of the secondary characters from The Love Game – Megan and Aston. I have recently really been enjoying book series’ where we already have some background information on the next characters, another benefit of that is being allowed to catch up with Megan and Aston’s best friends, Maddie & Braden, and see how their relationship has progressed.

Megan and Aston are friends, sort of. By default, because there groups of friends are always together. Secretly they both really like each other but a fear of betraying their best friend and the guy who is as close to Megan as a brother would be, Braden, has stopped with of them acting on it.

Ever heard the saying “when the cat’s away the mice will play”?

Well that’s exactly what’s going on here. I think I enjoyed reading their story more because they had to keep it a secret from the rest of their friends, whereas with Maddie and Braden everyone knew, this was just for them. It also meant that you were privy to their secret relationship you get to feel how weighted their light, flirty banter really is.

The story throws Aston into a new light. We already know that he’s a big man whore but Megan gets under his skin and there is this whole other side to him you wouldn’t have thought. It becomes quite clear that he’s a bit broken and you really feel for him. It’s somehow worse/harder to bear when your male MC is the dark and twisty character!

It’s written in dual POV again which is great.

It is a little predictable yes - but a real feel good heart warming story. I loved the characters in the book & could really grow to love Aston.
