Product Description

Product Description

Most of you have already lived out this book, but only in your dreams á During the course of nine injury-ridden but wonderfully fulfilling months in 1998, British sports writer, broadcaster and author Ian Stafford lived out his own fantasies and played sport with the world's greatest individuals and teams in their own environments. In doing so, he put his physical and mental skills to the ultimate test as he attempted to mix with the best.

If you have ever played a sport at any level get this book as quickly as you can. Mr Stafford writes in a style which could not fail to impress. As for the fulfilment of his sporting fantasies this book is wonderful ,witty, moving and provides an armchair sportsman's insight into sports as diverse as rowing and boxing. Every chapter is to be savoured and I am sure like me you will end up telling your friends about this book. Brilliant.

This book is a must for all of those frustrated sports fanatics out there (including me) who want to know what top sportsmen are like, how they train etc.

The book has been written in such a way that you feel you are actually there as a member of the crowd watching the events unfold.

My favourite parts of the book are the Athletics and Cricket participation - they really made me laugh!

If you like sports you will love this book.
