Product Description
* The Boy Who Played with Fire (Part 1), the first of Jess C Scott's dragon-themed stories (7,700 words).
SUMMARY: A teenage hooligan with a penchant for playing with fire goes in search of a dragon, before stumbling upon the London Underground's deadly secret.
GENRE: Urban Fantasy / Action & Adventure / Fantasy & Magic
NOTE: Jess is thinking of combining this with another separate dragon story (bringing the two plots together, and possibly bringing in some characters from her cyberpunk Elven series)--she'll see how that goes.
PRAISE for Jess C Scott/TOSoL:
"[Please] keep up the good work . . . the world can certainly use some more authentic, original work like yours, rather than the same old re-packaged mass-market pulp."
-- TGirl Revelations / Bibrary.com, October 2010
"Dear Jess: You are a very good writer -- I like your plotting, your concept, the characters...pretty much everything. I would love to see future writing projects by you. You are very gifted."
-- Dr. Uwe Stender, May 2010
EXCERPT:
*2 a.m., four of them, stealthing around in the London Underground.*
Pax couldn't get the image out of his mind. No better way to spend an otherwise lackluster Saturday night.
"$20,000 for the dragon's head!" ran the televised message on MythoBusters, a few hours ago. "Get her before she gets you. She lies somewhere, deep in the heart of the underground..."
