Less intentionally nasty and vicious where big powerful brutes are towering over beautiful sylphs this sees Cartier aim for the dream world. The poses range from the hardcover to the titilate. Shadows flow across the subjects as this is a noir word populated with colour. Cartier is one of a few photographers to use non white women in his colour pictures.
Various assortment of poses with the implements of the genre but none of the inherent violence of China Hamilton. This is playful S&M rather than the full on swish and thwack.
He wants to show is beauty and this is in the mind of the beast as he brings the women to his camera. Some of the shots look too composed, as if the women are not relaxed enough to exude and others hit the mark. This is a book of contrasts.

His work features lovely young models lightly bound and tied, but expressing no sense of malevolence or cruelty. It's a playful, sensual enterprise that is more about beauty and charm than the darker virtues of dominance and aggression. Plastic Bondage is populated with an abundance of beautiful damsels, while not distressed, certainly seem to be awaiting their prince charming.

I like this volume...but I have better stuff in the genres, fetish.

Plastic Bondage by Philippe Cartier was copyrighted in 2008 and is 126 pages. The book contains photos of women bondage wrapped in plastic or latex and sometimes they are not shown in bondage. The pictures are in color and black and white. The women range anywhere from very sexy to safe to take home to the parents. Yet there is one picture that the ladies don't even measure up to cute. My biggest disappoint is the size of the book; the pages only measure by 6 inches wide x 8 5/16 inches long. When I bought the book through a catalog, I though the book was bigger. The pictures are too small to look at and some times you do not get to see the entire model. On the plus side the author comes up with numerous ways to bondage a lady. Plastic Bondage by Philippe Cartier gets a B+ for the ladies.
