Excellent sound quality,

This headset offers great value for money and superior sound quality. I have mainly used it for internet telephony with Skype but recently listened to a CD and the sound was superb.

Nice, but feels a bit flimsy,

First off, the picture you see up above is not an accurate reflection of the headset you get. The actual product has a USB adapter into which you plug the two plugs of the headset (microphone and headphones), not a wired-in pod like the one pictured. The headset colour is black, as opposed to the grey/blue combo of the one pictured, but that's a minor cosmetic detail. While I can't fault the sound quality of this product, it does feel a bit flimsy. The earphone shells are held to the headband by ball-and-socket joints, which combined with the slick styrofoam covering means that in the course of an hour of use you'll probably find yourself adjusting and readjusting at least a half-dozen times as the gentle pressure of the headband moves things around. The missing star is therefore for the fact that it just doesn't feel as solid as other headphones in the price-range. OK, the USB adapter is a decent piece of kit, but overall this product feels like it should cost a tenner less. As said, the sound quality is good. Skype works well with this, and people on the other end of the line have said it sounds better than when I used a regular telephone. The 2 Euro's worth of call credit is also nice, and a good way to see how much you save using Skype. For that amount of money I was talking to friends in the US for two hours and had some call credit left over. Very nice indeed.

Perfect for Skype and Mac,

I've been looking for a decent but affordable Mac compatible headset for a while. After trying many incompatible headsets, I was quite pleased to find this one. I liked it so much I bought one more as a present. The headset is adjustable and quite comfortable even after using it continually for hours. It's ideal for making calls using Skype. The sound quality is, in my opinion, as good as of a normal phone call. I'm using Mac OS 10.3.8 and my Mac recognized the headset without problems and without the need to install software. To use it with Skype, you need to go into Skype preferences and set the audio input and output to 'Plantronics Headset'. Setting the Skype preferences means the headset will only work with Skype, leaving other tasks to speakers and built-in microphone. If you're not using Skype, all you need to do is set the sound input and output to 'Plantronics Headset' on System Preferences. One of the major advantages of buying this headset is that it comes with an USB adaptor, which works with other headsets as well. I considered buying a Griffin iMic adaptor, but for the same price or even cheaper I get the Plantronics headset + an USB adaptor, which works in the same way as the Griffin iMic. An excellent deal!
