The stylish C65 is a wireless headset designed to be registered to GAP compatible DECT bases or wireless PBXs, which is supplied with a fast desk charger and headset holder. Once registered, the C65 becomes an independent additional extension to the DECT base or wireless PBX, but with no dial pad. I purchased my c65 last year and cannot fault this product.It is totally perfect..I do have to admit that i spend an incredible amount of time on the telephone to my family but now i ring them so that i can clean my house or complete all my ironing while chatting,housework just doesnt seem a chore anymore. Worth every penny.

Having had a messy and expensive shopping spree for a Bluetooth landline phone, I had to buy one of these to resolve my headset issues. My Bluetooth home phone refused to connect to various headsets; even though I was advised otherwise. Anyway......I resorted to using DECT connections with the Plantronics C65 and wish I'd started this way in the first place. The internal transfer process from handset to headset for an outbound call takes practice, but once mastered it's a great tool. Answering calls with the headset is a breeze by simply pressing the switch on the set itself. I was getting deskbound with calls and this has remobilised my life. Sound quality is the usual Plantronics standard and totally acceptable in an office/home environment. I regularly wander round the house/garage wearing it, and no dropouts have been experienced. I'm delighted.

If you look at the compatibility list on the Plantronics website, most of the current Panasonic GAP DECT 'phones are not listed. There are none of the KX-TG ranges shown there.
My 'phone system is KX-TG8120E, but I took the gamble of buying the C65 anyway, thinking that Plantronics had perhaps just not tested it with the latest Panasonic ranges.
But I just came off the 'phone to their (helpful - add a star for this !) support department, and they confirmed that there is a compatibilty issue with some of the latest Panasonic 'phones, including mine.
The compatibility issue may or may not be too serious depending how you want to use it. It just doesn't ring on incoming calls. But it will ring when trying to transfer a call (or as an intercom, same thing really). If you can hear the bell of another handset ringing, you can still pick up an incoming call on the C65. But it's useless if you wander away from other 'phones, you won't know when someone calls you.
Plantronics blame the new Panasonic 'phones for this small problem. You could say "they would, wouldn't they", but in this case I suspect it's true !
Apart from that it's o.k., sound quality isn't exactly sparkling (unlike the Panasonic system which is spectacular), but it's perfectly usable.

Not sure
It arrives with a longer safety guide and a shorter quick start guide, which allows you to get started. It says the Plantronics website has a complete User Guide, but it doesn't. Read more

No support from plantronics
I just opened the box and tried to connect this to 3 different DECT stations. It relies on being able to reset the PIN for your DECT station to 0000. Read more
