Great for Listening, Terrible for Talking
on 28 June 2013
If you spend your life on conference calls without saying anything then this is the headset for you: long battery life, comfortable, and clear audio.
However, most phone calls involve two-way communication, and this is where the M55 fails: The sound quality for the person you're speaking to is terrible; you will sound distant and with masses of echo.
I've had to stop using this headset because I'm fed up with people asking me to call them back to see if we get a better line (in which case, I quickly switch off the headset and speak to them with the normal handset), or asking if I'm in the toilet (not kidding).
A couple of other minor points: If you start a call on your handset and then switch on the headset you will miss a fee seconds of the call because the headset will tell you how much battery life it's got left. And it doesn't go very loud, so it's useless in the car if you're travelling at a reasonable speed - like a motorway.
But the main point is this: People.Can't.Hear.You.
