This book contains a short section on planning the play followed by 36 single dummy problems.
The section on planning emphasizes a systematic approach to planning the play. In a nutshell, it is to identify losers and then devise a plan to eliminate enough losers to make the contract. The four main ways of avoiding a potential loser are outlined and applied in several example hands. Advanced players will be familiar with these techniques.
The real reason to buy the book are the single dummy problems. They are excellent and the solutions are thorough and clear. On the kindle, the entire problem fits on one page and the solution begins on the following pages. You can do the 36 problems at your own pace and when you get to number 36 you can start over. I have owned this book for 15 months and I have run through the hands four or five times. For this reason, the book is well worth buying.
