How refreshing to find a book on crown and bridges that is so extremely easy to read and to understand. In fact, it's one of the few dental books I can read without having to fight off sleepiness with large amounts of caffeine. The layout is clear and logical; important points are put across effectively; it is beautifully illustrated by plenty of colour photographs. Maybe not a book for complete reference but certainly a great first book for dental students like myself to grasp the basic concepts of crowns and bridges. The price is perhaps the only thing stopping me from recommending this as a must-buy book for dental undergraduates.

Very opinionated 8 July 2011
By Axe
Format:Hardcover
Decent coverage of the subject with a particular emphasis on the PLANNING stages involved in crown/bridge provision compared with the actual clinical delivery of the prosthesis.
What annoys me is that the author states his opinions based on incorrect fact e.g. he states that there is NO evidence for groove preparations in resin-bonded bridge preps (even though there is a wealth of evidence to support this and any bridges I've provided without grooves, particularly posteriorly, have failed!).

The cost is prohibitive also but that is no fault of the authors.
