4.0 out of 5 stars A great book 14 Jan 2010
THe book is very well written with lots of facts and interesting notes about all of the planets, with a couple of exercises and tasks for the kids to get involved in.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite right.... 11 Mar 2010
The book is OK for the basic facts but is let down by some minor irritations. It's a bit too American and it's also out of date. The temperatures described on the planets are shown in Fahrenheit (without providing degrees Celsius) and the book doesn't cover the Pluto "is it a planet?" controversy - e.g. are there 9 planets or 8 planets? I think that would have been a useful inclusion. But apart from those things my daughter (aged 4.75) likes the pictures.
