I ended up with a variety of different brands of cotton flannel baby wipes. These are good quality, just not my personal favorite. However, if the colors really do it for you, go ahead and stock up on these, they're good. And really, we're talking squares of flannel, it's not critical. For what it's worth, I like BumGenius wipes best for absorbency - like wiping up spit-up. They're thick and soft. I like OsoCozy best for cleaning baby bums, because they're thin, the better to clean crevices with. ALL the wipes I bought shrank a lot in the first wash (hot), so expect that.
I avoided GroVia for being synthetic, but in retrospect that might have been the way to go. I have all BumGenius 4.0 diapers, which shouldn't be washed with natural fibers. Now I have to wash the cotton wipes with baby's clothes, rather than with the diapers, which isn't ideal.
