Gets the job done. 24 Feb 2010

Planet waves usually makes decent picks and the extra heavy gauge pick works just as advertised. I don't believe it's stated anywhere in the description or on the item page but it is a 1.5mm thickness and doesn't really have any flexibility. However, it does seem to pluck notes a bit louder than most of the picks I've used (i.e. nylon, faux tortoise shell, celluloid). So if you do allot of hammering on to different strings you may want to build up a little bit more finger strength. Other that that it's a pretty good pick.
Awesome! 11 May 2012

I love this pick to death! This was the only pick I used for the first six months I was learning how to play the guitar. After about two months, the logo had worn off. (If that's a problem for anybody for some reason) I started just carrying it around with me in my pocket because it was the only thing I would use to play a guitar with. We were also just "buddies" I guess. After awhile, it went through the wash with one of my pairs of jeans and I never found it. Luckily, I found this on Amazon though!
It's thin, which is great. But it's not flexible much. Which makes it even better. The texture on it feels great on your fingers.
I highly recommend this product to all guitar players.
Heavy, Durable, Awesome. 12 Feb 2012

The heavy picks (The purple ones) are 1.2mm, which is just the right size for me. These things are very durable, I really get into playing sometimes and start strumming really hard. These things hold up very well. I've had picks break in my hand before, but not these. Another good thing I have to say about these is that it's made up of a different plastic. It's hard to explain, but this type of plastic makes it harder for picks to slip out of your hand. By far, my favorite pick. And I have 100 of them.
