'Planet of Sound' is one of the greatest achievements by one of the greatest bands of the last twenty years. 'Harsh' and 'Brutal' spring to mind when thinking of this track, a product of the times perhaps? 'Planet of Sound' embraces the richness of surf and punk, rips it open with it's teeth and lets it bleed all over itself. If you only buy one Pixies track (and you should buy every single one of them!) make sure it's the one track that sums up the essence of what it was all about. Then jump up and down until you fall over.
