This record brings together the diverse musical influences which have shaped Ian Brown's own music. Choosing a mixture of old and new, well known and lesser known, Browny has created a soundtrack which should get you through that "long journey" he talks of in the sleeve notes. On the first disc the reggae influence is highly dominant, although the former Stone Roses frontman dips into the archives to include James Brown and Diana Ross. The second disc has a more contemporary feel with recent hits such as "Gansta's Paradise" and "You Don't Know Me". Overall this collection is a highly enjoyable, diverse range of influences of one of today's finest solo artists.
