Before I purchased this I read a good number of the reviews, some were fair while others were not so fair. This is a documentary and not a filmed concert and as that it is very good. For those who have said that it is a tired group of oldies well, I'd say to them wait till you are that age and see if you still have the energy let alone the ability. I have followed Eric since the 60's and although I have been disappointed at recent C D releases his playing and entertainment value in concerts remain brilliant. There are very few if any of today's rappers and boy/ girl bands that will be around as long and still be entertaining thousands of fans in their later years. Yes it would be nice for someone to have created a film of either a full concert or a compilation of the concerts but this is not it. I am sad that Eric does not give more time to the UK fans but that is his choice. What I am grateful for is that his concerts do not include the rubbish tracks like Over the Rainbow, Greensleves etc which are just not Eric, in my opinion. For the serious fans this is a brilliant documentary of the tour and I am sure true fans will like it as much as I do. If you want to see a full concert I can recommend the Hyde Park concert but it is a good few years back. Eric remains a brilliant musician who has mastered his craft over many years as have many of the others appearing with him on this disc. In closing I hope someone does release a film of these concerts as the bits included here are excellent and in no way "tired", what rubbish some people say. Sadly his albums since the release of and including Back Home and Clapton have been less than good but his music legacy y is second to none. I hope he continues to tour for many years but I fear that, as he states, he will retire from touring which is sad.

I saw this show when the tour came through Leeds in June. Different drum/bass players and Andy Fairweather Low was back but Eric was just the same. Exceptional show; great playing and great support from some seriously skilled musicians. The interviews are quite revealing - especially the ones about the audience almost spoiling things. At least Eric spoke to the audience in Tokyo - more than he managed in Leeds.;Good to have this record of him in such good form - I don't suppose we'll be seeing him this way again. I see Jeff Beck has BR coming out of his recent tour dates in Tokyo. Hope it's as good..

You can pretty nearly always be assured of quality music from EC, and this is no exception. Ok, it's nothing really new, although some of the songs are given a slightly different treatment (eg a gentle reggae rhythm to Tears In Heaven). Clapton confirms that he can still play some fine blues, with an excellent version of Little Queen of Spades, and great to see and hear the wonderful Paul Carrack in the band (love that Hammond!). Surprised that another reviewer said he thought the band could not wait to leave the stage, since there is no way I got that impression! They are just very fine musicians, who make it look easy. Personally, I found most of the interviews, and the documentary bits, very interesting, and relevant to the songs, which were recorded at different places in the tour.
All in all, whilst nothing really new here, it is recommended for EC fans, although there are better performances on DVD for those who don't want everything (eg Hyde Park, Live 85 & 24 Nights).

If you are a big Eric Clapton fan this is an essential purchase. A good selection of tracks and a documentary about the tour and Eric's life on the road. All of this is in excellent blu-ray quality.

The reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because it could be a better product. The package should have been offered as a filmed concert with a separate documentary as the interviews which interlace the concert tracks do not relate to them.

Great DVD, yes there are some of the regular tracks but you get that at a concert anyway, but they are diferent and there is some fantastic guitar work.

The interviews between the tracks gives a great insight into Eric's life and his reflections on his past life and how he has turned his life around and become the man respected the world over, the section in Japan is very moving..

I think the interviews are very honest (apart from the will he wont he retire??).

I have seen Eric live many times and totaly enjoyed this DVD.

I am a fan of Eric Clapton. Concerts especially! But here is a problem: actually 2 problems: the disc sound and image: the sound on DTS-MA is absolutely horrible and in stereo is acceptable, it sounds like someone recorded with a smartphone in the concert room. It is so bad! The image: same issue: looks like someone recorded it over the heads of the people with a smartphone. A bad one! The most important image in Eric Clapton concerts is to see his guitar playing solo. Here forget it! At the end, one of the most beautiful songs: "Hoochie coochie man" is full of the credits. I never see something like that on a concert or even a movie. Imagine you look to a movie and 6 minutes before the end of the movie the image is shrink and you see the credits till the end of the movie!
