3.0 out of 5 stars Kids loved it, didn't last long though 17 Feb 2013

First off, Christmas morning, our robot obsessed youngest absolutely loved it! Christmas day it was one of the firm favourites and we were all very pleased.

After a few days though the heads became very loose and one of the legs stopped being screwable.

Sadly the toy only lasted a few weeks in our house, it just wasn't made to be really played with.

This is not a long term toy but was truly loved while it was with us.

Good quality wooden product. Bought for 2 year old who found it difficult to manipulate but big sister helped. When his manual dexterity improves he will enjoy it.

3.0 out of 5 stars wish it were sturdier 21 July 2012

Durability: 1.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Our boys age 2 and 4 received this robot for Christmas. It seemed like a good idea, but neither ever were very interested in it. Then, it wasn't even played with a lot and the screw-in legs ended up getting stripped and then they would not stay screwed in the holes. I e-mailed plan toys and sent them a picture and they sent me a new set of legs free of charge. Good customer service, but now, several months later, I see the legs are stripping again, I think maybe screws shouldn't be made of thin wood. Like I said, the toy was not even a favorite and is still wearing out. This time I am not going to trade the legs in again, when it's broken, it goes out in the garbage I guess. Good concept, but I am not too happy with this particular toy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this if you have kids that actually play with their toys. 24 Nov 2013

I am VERY displeased with this product. Within ONE hour of normal toddler play, the threads on the screw-on legs had disintegrated. Now, the legs do not stay in the body. This is an adorable idea, but it does not live up to any kind of play. I am giving serious thought to returning it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, not very exciting 28 Dec 2012

I bought this for my 3yo. It's a great quality toy, but there is not much to do with it. You can change heads and that's about it. I think for the price you should be able to put more together.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could Be A Great Toy... 27 Dec 2012

Durability: 1.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Lately we've really been having issues with the quality/durability of Plan Toys. This one is no exception! I thought this would be a great toy for my 2-year-old son as it teaches motor skills and emotions/feelings. Rating the toy with no malfunctions I'd give it four stars. Unfortunately Christmas morning, a mere hour after opening this to great excitement, the screws on one of the wooden legs stripped rendering it useless!

Now I understand wood isn't as full-proof as plastic but if making toys for toddlers perhaps they should be able to withstand normal usage. My son was using this normally, screwing and unscrewing the legs and was not being rough and still completely broken after like 5 uses. I contacted Plan Toys and they are sending us a new kit, but I see from the other reviews I am not the only person this happened to!

Anyway, be warned this product may only last you one afternoon!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Durable 30 Nov 2013
By kit - Published on Amazon.com
Like everyone else, we experienced problems with the threading on the legs. The first time it broke off we actually contacted the company and they sent us another leg, but it happened to the replacement leg too! Bummer. This could have been my daughter's favorite toy.
