Wonderful quality 31 Aug 2009
By Mrs. Z. L. Reynolds TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE

If you're wondering if this toy can be worth the money, I think it is. It is built very well and unlike similar toys made of plastic, it will not break unless it meets with an unfortunate accident! No doubt if you have many children it would be passed along them all and still going after. It is pretty cool as well, there's a road across the front to connect to the road system, a railway going through the downstairs and an upstairs one which can be road or rail. Also there's a little ticket office, barriers and a seating area and a cool clicking revolving door. My son loves it!

Nice, fun, well built, but maybe a little too big? 6 April 2007
By My 3 Sons - Published on Amazon.com
Like the other plan city items, this is well built, colorful, and provides for some neat interaction for the little ones. It has multiple "integration" points to bring your wooden train & wooden roadway worlds together, including an elevated section along the back that can either serve as a railroad bridge or a road bridge (& gives access to the second level!). Includes some little extras... tables, ATM, desk, a few people, etc.

We're glad we bought it, as it's fun for everyone, but we don't use it all the time in our "setup"... it's just too big. We still try to contain our little wooden world to a train table (& we have a big one... 3x5... most are only 3x4), and working this into some simple road & track configurations can be challenging.

Also, the top "green" part is made of foam... it's pretty sturdy and has held up well so far, but I can see younger kids (which I have) taking a toll on it eventually.

Great toy 12 Jan 2009

I have a just-turned 3y old boy and a 19m old boy. They are both into trains and cars so we bought this to provide a building for them to interact with. It fits onto our Target Circo train table with a double loop around it for the trains and a single loop for the roads but is a bit of a squeeze. It fits with our Thomas-compatible tracks which was my major concern prior to buying it (we have a mix of Imaginarium and Circo tracks). My boys are slowly learning more things to do with it and I can see it giving them hours of fun into the coming years. It was quite expensive so I hesitated buying it, but it has been worth it as my boys play with it several times a day every day. Considering that the Thomas the Tank Engine Roundhouse is the same price, this is a much better buy.

This company was the best price we found on Amazon and the product arrived quickly and in great condition. We also bought the Deluxe Road System which you need to fully utilise this product. We now have family members buying individual Plan City cars or trucks for birthday presents to pad it out as these are only $12 or so.

Nice, but my kids don't play with it! 28 Sep 2009

This toy looks nice, seems to be very durable and made well, the colors are lovely and bright and the design is beautiful. I personally love it! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it except my kids just won't play with it! I don't understand why since they are very imaginative children and will play contentedly with pretty much anything and everything for a long time. Even when this is the only toy out they just ignore it! Every once in a while they will go over to it, but they'll only tinker around with it for a few minutes and then they're off to something else. This is true for both of my boys. I just thought I'd put that out there, since it is an expensive toy.
