This airplane is cute and appears sturdy. It has already survived several "crashes" and the airplane still looks great. However, the pilot is a different story. The elastic band that holds the pilot is flimsy and my daughter cannot get the pilot secured in the airplane by herself. The pilot also arrived with some of the paint rubbed off. Overall, my daughter likes it. I like that she uses her imagination but it could be a bit more sturdy and the pilot could use some more detail.

This toy requires a lot of adult assistance.,

The 3 and 4-year-old children in my preschool class really like this airplane. The only problem is that it uses an elastic band to hold the "pilot" in place. The children can get the pilot out by themselves but they cannot get the band around him to put him back. It's even hard for me. This might not be a problem for a 6-year-old but I'm not sure that's the age most interested in playing with this toy.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter. She absolutely loves this toy. She has had it for months and the only complaint I can think of to make is that the elastic that holds the pilot in place has gotten stretched out a little bit. We just found a new place to put the elastic on the pilot to hold him in, and now he doesn't fall out. This is one of my daugter's favorite toys, and I love that it is made from natural wood and has non-toxic paint.
