Alvin is great at making financial information accessible to all. His writing is honest, dotted with personal anecdotes and humour. Much of the information surrounding pensions can be complicated to understand, but Alvin offers step by step guidance.
Be warned: he is frank about the difficulties you might face if you've left your pension plans to the last minute. I'm 32 and even I found it scary facing up to the mountain of finance I will need (with inflation and tax) if I want to live well when I retire. However, there are solutions for all of us if we are prepared to make the effort - and Alvin will show you how.

Bought this book after flicking through it in a bookshop and being interested in some of the suggestions made. Having now read it and put the planning into practice we realise how important it is to do the detailed inflation linked predictions. Recommended reading, particularly in the current economic climate.
