This DVD was first released in 1992. I was thrilled that this was released onto DVD as it is a cracking workout. I am afraid my daughter snorted when she saw me exercising to this workout as the clothes, set, hairstyles, music etc, all look of its time. However, the actual workout is faultless in terms of a quality and effective workout.
Like many of the other reviewers of the Y plan workouts, I hold great store in this workout simply because it does work. If you follow it regularly, you will get results like you wouldn't believe, plus increase your fitness big time!
What is great about this dvd is that it takes you from a beginner level to an advanced workout.
There is a good introduction on how to lose weight from consultant Dr Craig Sharp, followed by advice about working out safely from lead instuctor Jill Gaskell.
Level 1: 12 minutes of easy aerobic exercise for people who are just starting out and are unfit. This is so easy to fit into your schedule.
Level 2: 17 minutes of increased activity, great for intermediates.
Level 3: 35 minutes of fat breaking, flab burning, aerobics. This workout includes a thorough warm up and cool down. During the workout there is a short section led by Robin Gargrave in which he uses a workout step. However, you don't need it to complete the workout. There are lots of jumps, jogging on the spot, sprinting on the spot, marching, tick tocks, arm swings. There is no aerobic dancing or time wasting. Sweat just drips off me afterwards.
