5.0 out of 5 stars An awesome gift to the Body of Christ 16 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Figures from the Office for National Statistics show there were 119,589 divorces in England and Wales (within the United Kingdom) during 2010, an increase of 5 per cent on the previous year. It means that one in three marriages now breaks down by the 15th anniversary, compared with a fifth in 1970, with more men and women in their early forties splitting up than in other age groups.

The average marriage in England now lasts 11.4 years. Half of the spouses had children under 16, while the proportion of divorcing men and women who have had previous failed marriages has doubled since 1980. Even the Church is no longer immune to separation and divorce, as more and more Christian couples now the face the prospect of separation!

It is against this background that Kikelomo Adebiyi has gifted the Body of Christ with her awesome and beautifully written book, The Place of Your Emotions in Choosing a Life Partner. In it, Mrs Adebiyi explains the various ways by which God leads His children and provides guidance on how to make the right choice.

The book is a must read for every single person who is hoping to get married someday. It is also an essential read for those who feel trapped in their marriages and are looking for a way out; people who, according to the author, are in "Miseryville"!

I STRONGLY recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ 25 Mar 2012

EXCELLENT! This book is a must read.I have really been blessed by this book, it has opened my eyes and is definitely a worthwhile investment. It gives practical safeguards and guidelines to follow if you want to get it right when it comes to choosing the right partner and fulfilling God's will, pointing out that getting it wrong would be disastrous, so we cannot just follow our emotions, we must let God lead. This book has given me knowledge, advice and the opportunity to walk in God's will. I would highly recommend this book any day anytime it is worth every penny. I have recommended this book to my friends and siblings because I feel it is a must read before embarking on any relationship. Be blessed as you read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring 16 Oct 2012
By Ade J
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book focuses on the prerequisites for a successful, strong and lasting relationship. Many problems facing relationships today are rooted in the very foundation of such relationships, mostly governed by emotions.

This book gets a 5/5 rating from me as it teaches and gives practical steps on how to guard against ones emotions using examples of people who have fallen foul, and likewise, people who have succeeded in their choice of life partners. As John Luther said, "Learn from the mistakes of others, you can never live long enough to make them all yourself".

I recommend this book as a 'must read' for everyone thinking on embarking on a new relaionship, anyone who needs self-examination on their seemingly/presently good relationship or anyone who feels trapped in the wrong relationship.
