"Appealing illustrations and great read-aloud text. It is just right for young children becoming more familiar with the world around them." Books for Keeps on "Bringing Down the Moon"

Product Description

Mole thinks his burrow is small and dark and dull. So he sets off to find somewhere big and bright and beautiful instead. His friends are full of ideas, but finding a new home that is just right is, as Mole discovers, no simple matter - and in the end he settles for the home he already has.

Good, but ... 29 Dec 2010

not quite as good as the superb 'Bringing Down The Moon' by the same author.

Similar characters but we found it less absorbing than the book mentioned
above. I think we were spoiled by that book, although I'm definitely happy
to own it and my three year-old still likes to have it read to her.

Insightful story; beautiful artwork 30 Oct 2011
By Shannon Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
My son and I just read this book together this morning. It was such a delightful read! Poor Mole is looking for a new home that will be big and bright and beautiful. As we follow him along his journey (and meet his enchanting animal friends) we discover that perhaps Mole already has just what he is looking for. This is a well-written, wonderfully illustrated story that affirms an old truth: There really is no place like home.
