Product Description

Daring and different as always, Jan Pie´nkowski presents a lively pop-up book filled with funny—and yucky—things to eat!

The king is coming to lunch. Since he’s a hungry lion, the animals scramble to make pizza, pronto! With flaps to open, tabs to pull, and wheels to turn, this tasty pop-up is bursting with funny (and yucky) treats. Young children will finish this new book by Jan Pie´nkowski and still be hungry for more! Truly a movable feast fit for a king!

About the Author

Jan Pienkowski was born in Warsaw, into a family of architects and artists. He came to England with his parents in 1946 and was educated in London and at King's College Cambridge. A co-founder of the greetings card company Gallery Five (of which he remains a director), he has worked as an art director in advertising, publishing and the BBC children's television series, Watch. He has produced many books for children, including the hugely popular Meg and Mog books, written by Helen Nicoll and Good Night, a pop-up title. He has twice won the Kate Greenaway Medal, in 1972 for his illustrations to Joan Aiken's The Kingdom Under the Sea, and in 1980 for the classic pop-up book Haunted House. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Great for Kids!!!!!!!!!! 22 Jan 2003
By Carrie Johnson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is my son's favorite book. I have had to buy it three times. He is 1 and a 1/2 years old and he has to look at this book at least twice a day. The pop ups are great and my son loves it when the King roars at the end. As far as I am concerned this is THE Pop-Up book.
