We've just come back from the cinema and love this film. It is loaded with fun dialogues, good dancing and great singing battles. I would say you don't have to watch Pitch Perfect 1 to enjoy part two as both movies are independent stories.
Pitch Perfect 2 shows girls, Anna Kendrick (Becka) and Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), as the main characters in Barden Bellas acapella group. Also in the movie are other stars like, Brittany Snow (Chloe), Skylar Astin (Jesse), Elizabeth Banks (Gail), John Michael Higgins.
The movie starts with a show for the president from Barden Bellas that really doesn't go the way it was supposed to, because 'Fat Amy' has an 'incident' on stage. Bellas are punished for it and thrown out of the choral academy, but as the girls never give up, they set up a challenge that may give them redemption. Barden Bellas are gonna perform at the international finals in Copenhagen (never previously won by an American group) to which they have to prepare their vocals and routines. The movie at this point really starts to heat up, as the girls go on a communal camping trip and just by chance bump into old friends. You will know what happens next when you see the film…
I hope you will enjoy the movie as much as we did. Highly recommended comedy!

The sequel contains the same politically incorrect humor as the first one with announcer John (John Michael Higgins) frequently stepping over line. In this film Reba Wilson plays a larger role as Fat Amy and up and coming Hailee Steinfeld is added to the mix as song writer Emily. If you watch any preview, it will give away what little plot there is. This match is the "Rocky IV" as they go up against giants on their home turf.
The film isn't exactly a remake, but follows the formula that made the first film a success. Anne Kendrick in a plaid skirt is enough to make me purchase the film. I will wait for the two pact with special features. It is a film that will convince you there is a song for every moment. It was also fun to watch the Green Bay Packers do a few tunes. If you loved the first one, this one is a no brainer.
Guide: 1 f-bomb. Adult gestures and talk. No sex or nudity. Plenty of insults and stereotypes.

Really good film.Didn't really like the first one.But this one was great.And had all my favourite songs on it like we got the world,Timber,Before he cheats,wrecking ball,MMMbob, Low ,Bootyloious,We are never ever getting back together ,A thousand miles,Problum and where them girls at? Very good movie.Thought it was laugh out loud funny!

An OK film. Story was week, and the gags predictable. I thought the first one was original. This certainly isn't as good as the first one. Please don't make a third.

The first Perfect Pitch was fun, sing -a-long and sassy the follow up is crass, boring and when I saw it entertained a cinema of just 5 on a Saturday afternoon.
I really liked the first Perfect Pitch the songs were great and I knew most, the second film, I knew only a few. And why oh why is Snoop Dogg in the film. He doesn't add anything at all.
The story is weak and with a predictable end, as you would expect and the actors seem to be along for the dollars as none excel as they do in the first movie.
