I recently ventured into the world of car audio as I like my music and I was spending a lot of time in my car, and I was fed up with the crappy tape player and horrible speakers in my mk5 fiesta. I installed a set of 4 Alpine speakers I bought from Amazon, and a decent quality (but fairly old) high power Panasonic CD head unit I found in our garage. The difference was staggering, I couldn't believe I had put up with the terrible stock system for so long! But whilst I was very impressed with the quality of my new set up, there was still something missing, it lacked that extra little bit of bass "oomf" that I really wanted.
Well not any more! This little unit is just what I needed, it's surprisingly loud for its size. And there's no extra amps, enclosures e.t.c. to worry about either, it was mostly just plug and play. As it's in the cabin as opposed to the boot, you can feel the waves of deep powerful bass fired right up at you. It's not going to shake the entire neighbourhood, but you will be impressed if your aim is to please your own ears as opposed to annoying the hell out of everyone you drive past. I now look forward to every time I need to drive somewhere, and friends like it too. SO MUCH BASS :D
I mounted it underneath the drivers seat for extra rib cage shake-age. Installation was easy enough, but I'm an electrical engineering student and love taking stuff to bits, so if your useless at DIY or have never wired anything in your life, it might be a good idea to ask someone more experienced to help you, or even install it for you. I did most of it myself but got my dad to help me with the actual connecting of the power wire to the battery, so I didn't blow myself up or anything ;)
All in all a great purchase, I'm one happy customer!
Hope this was helpful :)
