For the price, these seem to be a very good set of speakers.
I bought them to replace a broken rear door speaker in my car.
I was hoping to only have to replace the one broken speaker, but I think I'll have to put the second one of these in as the two speakers are very different making it difficult to balance the left / right sound (original in one door which is very "bassy", and this Pioneer one in the other door which is more neutral).
These TS-G1313i's have quite a good balanced sound. Naturally, in comparison to more expensive speakers, the sound is a little hollow. But for the price, I definitely think that 4 stars is a fair assessment.
