This TV is Top. The Pioneer pioneer pdp427xd, is the big brother to the pioneer pdp4270xd which you will find in most shops. This has a great picture in picture feature and a extra HDMI port on the back. Go with this model everytime to help future proof it. The blacks on this TV are also far and above any other TV you'll find on the market due to the PureBlack Crystal Layer technology. This along with the i-CLEAR Drive Colour gradation enhancement makes it the best on the market for my money.

I spent 2 months reading reviews on this TV and then a month of standing in TV shops comparing pictures of various models in different formats (SD, HD, DVD, sports programmes, movies etc). The Pioneer beat all the other TVs in the same price bracket, particularly when it comes to watching sport. On top of all that it looks great.
I have had my Pioneer 42" Plasma T.V. for a year now, it was a well recommended set, and I can see why, the picture is excellent, the sound is adequate and the Freeview tuner works well.
The only problem I have experienced is with the remote 'Power on/off' it sometimes needs holding down for a long time, for it to function.

Quality screen (but no picture in picture)
Owned this for 10 days now and still seriously enjoying sitting down in front of it. Beuatiful picture with no sense of time lag in display of the image. Read more
