I've had these Pioneer HDJ-1000 headphones now for around 2 years and im quite happy with them.the sound quality is very good, and it has excellent bass response.these are closed back headphones so they are especially good with djing.there are a couple of problems with these headphones though, the cable is a little short and the connection between earpiece and headband is prone to snapping..my headphones have snapped 6 times in 2 years in differant places around the joint between the headband and earpiece.I had a replacement pair the first time they snapped but i've had to superglued them since, only to break again in a differant place, and ive only used these for home use.. all in all great sounding 'phones, though if you're gonna get these make sure youve got some superglue handy, cos you're gonna need it. 4 out of 5. UPDATE:: Its nearly 6 years since i purchased this and im still using them ,i did buy a pair or Denon HP-1000 but these sounded rubbish and where sent back, I also bought a pair of Sony MDRV700DJ and these where no better.. so im sticking with my Pioneer's.

I have to say these are great and i disagree with jones. I have had them for 7 months now and there is nothing wrong with them. They have certainly not snapped.

Audio is a 12 out of 10. Amazing headphones. Buy them if you are wondering about them. you will not regret it!

I am on my 3rd pair of these and they are used 10hours a week, Great sound for use in club work, however, they are not robust enough. I look after them well and the last pair I didnt even fold away to see if they lasted longer. They appear to break in the same place each time. Another DJ I work with is on his 2nd pair and they have done exactly the same. Great headphones, poor build. Pioneer not interested in my comments and said I need to buy the next model up. Thanks Pioneer for keeping a customer happy who has spent over £9000 with you on DJ equipment. I won't be buying then again.
