I bought this unit because of its price and name; so value for money! I wasn't disappointed as it's refreshingly basic to use. So many units these days have fiddly sensitive controls whereas on this you hit the biggest control to change from CD to Radio, to Aux and there are adequate presets. The equalizer has a good range of preset levels or you can do it yourself which means you can compensate for different conditions. It looks good too!
I have a car for which I needed a block connector but I simply cut the cables and used bayonet connectors. It was slightly annoying that there wasn't a wiring diagramme in the very simple manual but I found what I wanted very quickly on Pioneer's web site and it wasn't rocket science to install.
My car aerial plugged straight into the unit which is not always the way so don't buy an adaptor until you've checked to see if yours fits. If it doesn't you pick up an adapter from Halfords cheaply enough.
I had a Kenwood unit in my last car, paid a lot more money and it had fewer features. I'd recommend this.
Oh yes, one final thing, the lights on the head are red - I know some people like to match their existing car dash lighting colour.

I have always bought pioneer,and never have been disappointed.the sound is great the control are very user friendly
(for the basic use it was bought for).my good lady just wants a CD player with a radio on the side and it fits the bill.
The fact that one is asked for close on 50% of the price for an additional adaptor for ones own radio really gets up my nose.(ryan air of a different name),so like Watnot I used a complete strip of conectors which did the job nicely.
What is it with suppliers to-day,it seams like everything (that has instructions)is in very small print? and in this hand book the print is feint,is there somthing going on between Pioneer and Specsavers and the people who supply magnifying glasses.
OK if you want to save time it can be done but at a price.
