Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The Pioneer CT-W208R twin cassette deck has been designed to effortlessly record from one cassette to another, and when selected do so, high speed copying can cut the time down by a half. Both decks have auto reverse mechanisms. Being system remote compatible means that if you own a Pioneer Amplifier / Receiver which has system remote, the Amplifier / Receiver remote control could operate some of the functions (SR lead required).

Product Description

For all, who remain loyal to the cassette. The double cassette deck is easy to use and gives out an excellent sound.

PIONEER CT W208R 21 Aug 2009
Amazon provided this product Via CONRAD electronics, Conrad stated 7 day delivery time, in fact I recieved it in 3 days, so well done Conrad!
The deck is easy to use and does all it claims to do. Its well constructed, has a metal case and decorative feet, so it looks good on a shelf. It lacks the old VU meters that I love so much, but the bar display is more than adequate.
The controls handle well and feel solid when a button is pressed, as one would expect from Pioneer.
The music search is excellent, and works backwords and forwards on both decks.
The only downside to this excellent product is that it lacks a headphone monitoring socket, not of great importance to some folk, but its a shame as there is plenty of room for one on the front panel.
I should mention too, that it does not have a microphone socket. This may be of importance to some.
I am very pleased with my purchase anyway and I have to praise CONRAD Electronics for their very promp attention to my order. Altogether a fine cassette deck, ideal for converting all those old cassettes to CD.

I have had many tape decks, my last dying recently hence the purchase. The pioneer is very nicely finished all the buttons and the cassette doors have a pleasing quality feel in use. It has a number of very clever features which I am only starting to use, but trust me each time I think... thats a good idea (or) helpful.
Some of the manufacturers have virtually removed quality from their cassette decks as demand has fallen away, but hey I have a stack six foot tall from radio John Peel in the late 70's and eighties to later stuff that you can't get anymore. I need a player and I would definately reccomend this one five thumbs up!

Tapes are still good 10 July 2010
I was looking for for a tape deck with which to transfer tapes to computer but then I realised that I might just as well listen to tapes with this and I can still transfer if I want. The sound quality is excellent with no noticeable hiss. I think the tapes will probably last longer than CDs and computers are forever being improved so you have to transfer music. Why bother? Anyone who has given themself neck ache by sitting at a computer trying to improve their music with software programmes should buy one of these before they become obsolete. I think it will see me out!

Fantastic quality sound for the now ageing cassette. Pioneer are a top brand and this item demonstrates that in itself. The previous reviewer is a fool
