Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

When it comes to amplifiers, Pioneer's line up offers sound options that make music sound better than ever. Pioneer amplifiers are what the dreams of audio lovers are made from - innovative high performance components with extra features and additional connections to all types of speakers and home entertainment systems. Amplification without distortion and stable sound localisation leads to what you want: pure sound.

The A-109 is a 40-Watt integrated amplifier that adds a stabilizer for the transformer and chassis. And its symmetrical design results in excellent stereo imagery. The A-109 is among those Pioneer amps to feature the Direct Energy MOS FET transistor directly linked to the speaker output. Efficient input signal transmission with minimum distortion requires the signal path to be as short as possible. The highly efficient Direct Energy MOS FET allowed Pioneer to develop its Advanced Direct Connection, with a shorter signal path and ground line and Symmetrical Construction. This combination ensures that left and right channels are clearly separated and have the same impedance, giving ideal stereo reproduction with identical sound quality. These two design concepts ensure more stable stereo sound localization and a rich sound field.

very good value 24 July 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
Was looking for a decent starter amp for my son and did not want to spend a huge amount of money. Owner of 'higher level' Denon and Cyrus so was not expecting much for £100, but very surprised at results. Sound impressive for such a low cost unit and quality of finish and functions offered good. Very good purchase if looking for low cost amp in comparison to what else is out there. Bought on the back of other reviews on Amazon and can only agree. Excellent value for money.

Initially, great buy 23 May 2010
I have only just received this amp, hence the "initially" prescript. I bought the Pioneer A-109 as a replacement for an old Sony amp. This new amp was easy to install and came with UK power adapter as well as European connector. Initial sounds are really good and, for the price, has a great clear sound. The amp is basic, has phono and is manually operated (no remote) the amp is ideal for what I wanted as a second amp to support my computer and the Rega deck for my vinyl. It provides a great sound out of my "old Leaks"

I have owned this amp since last october and have been amazed by the sound quality. It has all the inputs you could wish for and it feels well built. Don't be put off by the slightly lower price tag if you are a hifi lover on a budget you can't loose out here. I own units by lots of different brands like Denon and marantz, this amp can sing with the best of them and give more expensive products a run for there money just buy it and enjoy

Happy Listening :)
