Good news -
This flask is roomy and the opening is big enough for stews, chicken pieces...etc. The lid is also quite big if you want to eat/drink something from it.

Bad news - I religiously fill the flask with hot water for 15 minutes prior to putting my piping hot food into it but alas...by lunch time (around 6 hours later) the food is just warm enough to eat. This is a pity as the design of this flask is quite nice.

Ordered this in order to be able to take hot food to work, and it does the job brilliantly. I pour boiling water in to preheat before using and it certainly keeps the food piping hot. It's an excellent size for soups for lunch, and the wide neck means you can also use it for left over pasta and chilli too. The wide neck also makes cleaning really easy. I've bought cheaper ones in the past but they have been a false economy as they fail to do the job as effectively as this does. Only negative comment is second cup supplied is waste of time - more like a plastic saucer!!

I bought the flask for my daughter because she wanted to come off school meals and she has said that by lunch time her food is still hot. That is great because that is what we bought it for.

good flask , keeps food hot for at least 4 hours , small cup in lid is a total waste of space better off without it , and yes would recommend it.

Fit for purpose, works very well. One slight regret I have is that I did not realise that the actual opening is quite smaller then what is looks from outside. But it depends on what you are bying this for.

I was not too sure what too expect from this flask as I've tried other methods of keeping my son's lunch warm which had not work. This flask is just great. Perfect size for kids and food keeps warm (or actually hot) for hours. It's seems to also be quite strong as my son is not exactly delicate with it, but so far it's in perfect shape. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this flask so I could take hot food to work and it's been great so far. I've used it for: soup, including Heinz Big soup (all 515g of it), spaghetti hoops and, scrambled egg. I haven't tried it after the full 12 hours, but my food is still hot after 6 hours (this is storing the flask at room temperature). It's approx 13cm high, 10.5cm wide and the opening is 8cm wide. It's easy to clean too. I love it and will definitely be using it over the winter.

I was quite surprised when it arrived, not so big but enough space to fill it up with a 'full' meal. The hole is wider than Thermos 430ml, so its more convenient and provides better access. Flask itself is well made, it gives you feeling of solid piece of kit. After using it for about 2-3 weeks I confirm every time after 4-5 hours my food was hot/warm. Of course you would need to preheat it first with boiling water. I preheat it only 5 min not 10 so I reckon it would stay hot for longer if needed.

Comparing to my previous Thermos this one is a much better product in total.
It has:
- more space inside, entry is much wider giving you better access (no tiny hole like in Thermos),
- better feeling, not plastic finish
- keeps food hot much longer after 4h food was still hot, where my Thermos 470ml was struggling
- only 1 'downside' Thermos provides spoon which can be mounted into cap where Pioneer doesn't but I would recommend to get proper plastic or wooden spoon anyway as Thermos one is rubbish anyway and using metal spoon gives you horrible noise when you start rubbing bottom of the flask.

I would recommend to the friend for sure.
