I have both toys and my 14 month old plays with both.
The Galt version is better.
This one has nice bright colours but the Galt has 4 pieces not 3 and, crucially, the pieces can go in either way. This version has animal heads so your child has to be holding it the right way up to be able to fit it back in the hole. So my daughter experiences much more success with the Galt version. The Galt pieces also roll nicely under her hand.

Bought this as a Xmas present for my 9 month old daughter. Its a little smaller than I expected it to be, but still a sweet little toy. The action required to make the 'pegs' spring out is a little too complex for her at the mo but she does enjoy watching them spring out when others demonstrate it to her. They spring out quite high and my 3 year old was quite taken with it for a while. Good quality item.
