I spent a lot of time looking for a stool for my son to stand on to brush his teeth and generally nosey around when we are getting washed etc. I initially bought this one, and it is very sturdy, very easy to put together and even has a little tray under the bottom step for you to store things on (although it's so small I'm not sure what!).
That said, I wanted 3, and not wanting to pay a combined £80 I took a punt on a cheaper plastic stool (the `Tippitoes Step up Stool', which Amazon also sell).
I would plump for the Tippitoes stool every time irrespective of cost, but it is also 1/5 of the price ........... I suggest you also look at this product before you make your mind up.
I don't have any connection with Tippitoes by the way ;-)

Great stool for kids wo can't reach the basin to brush teeth etc. And I use it myself to reach the locked medicine cabinet on the wall in the bathroom. Easy to assemble, and good quality product. Thanks!

My boy is now 19 months and starting to be curious about what's happening on the kitchen worktops, so I got these steps for him. Very happy with the purchase. Sturdy and easy to put together. It sometimes helps calm a hissy fit as he just wants to see what's going on and 'help' get food ready or wash up. As it's quite heavy he can't shift it very easily so you can control when he gets up on it and where it is. Nor can he slide it along the floor as it has sticky feet. He sometime sits at it like a little seat with table as well. He loves it and I love the fact if feels really good quality.
