This is such a beautiful puzzle! I knew I wanted a wooden puzzle with nice colors for my son and this really fits the bill. The pieces feel really good in the hand and are very sturdy. He loves sucking them, stacking them and , occasionally, trying to fit them in . It's a good size for traveling and on a more superficial note, it's one of the few toys that I don't mind lying around as it i beautiful!

the shape matching board is really bright with solid shapes and base. i bought this to help teach my sons shapes and for that purpose it works well. high quality and as a teaching aid great. as a puzzle i would personally recommend buying it at around 9 months of age as it will last longer and be more interesting to the child as they develop.the puzzle is too easy and my son who has just turned 2 was uninterested in the puzzle after a couple of plays. but still a very good well made puzzle.

I bought this for my 18 month old but she does the shape sorting in a flash and then the toy holds no interest in her for me to go through colours or shape names. The guide age group is a bit too high - it's more for 12 months and up but a lovely, sturdy and educational toy nonetheless.
