We have a toddler with a love of musical toys, so this looked ideal; robust, easy to use. What could possible go wrong?
Well, the toy has six notes. Two of them, sadly, are the same note; they haven't been tuned at all. They don't form a scale. And the sound: well, calling it a "note" is a joke. There's a vaguely musical sound to the "clonk" you get when you strike the piece of wood, and the longest one has definitely got a lower "note" than the shortest...
If you want to encourage a budding Mozart, get three cooking pots of different sizes, and a wooden spoon. This was a terrible disappointment.

I can't help agreeing with the previous reviewer.
My child was given this as a present and the "notes" were not tuned either - instead of A,B,C,D,E the sounds run more like A,C,D,B,E (ie, RANDOM). I tried taking it back to the shop to change it for one that was tuned, but the six they had in stock were all differently out of tune!
He loves bashing it hard with the beater, and it'll probably last for a long time, but it has no real musical value whatsoever.

I bought this xylophone for my 8 month old daughter and she loves it. But as she gets bigger I will have to get another one as all the notes sound the same unfortunately. If this doesn't bother you then it's value for money.
