5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive Guide to Pinterest 11 April 2013

This book covers everything you need to know about using Pinterest effectively. This is an extremely valuable resource, and it includes information that even courses on Pinterest don't give you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for a novice 16 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've been tinkering but only halfheartedly using Pinterest for about a year.
This book gave me some really useful food for thought. I have a lot of work to do on the boards I have and have been tackling the key points one at a time so hopefully I too can rule at Pinterest!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pinterest Savvy is a real motivator 3 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
After reading Pinterest Savvy I’m now thinking more about strategy; both with simple pinning, as well as on visual displays, marketing, etc.

The free chapter guide worksheets are invaluable, and I wouldn’t want to be without them! I printed out the chapter guides and began to check off the items that I already had completed for my Pinterest account. It was a satisfying process to see what I had already accomplished.

By having the chapter guide worksheets, it means that you don’t just read the book and forget about it; they give you motivation to return again and again to Pinterest Savvy and chart your progress through it at your own pace.

Pintrest Savvy is mainly aimed at novices, but everyone will find something new to learn in this updated version whether you're a casual user, or wanting to market yourself.

Three weeks after first reading Pinterest Savvy, I have already increased my followers by 15%, which speaks for itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars DEFINITELY WORTH A TRY! 21 July 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is quite a useful, sort guide to Pinterest. I've applied the ideas to my Pinterest profile and, whilst my followers haven't increased by the promised 20%, they have slowly increased over the weeks.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST READ: QUICK, EASY & EFFECTIVE 1 Feb 2013
By Marnie @ Carrots Are Orange - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Pinterest Savvy changed the way I create, edit and cultivate my Pinterest content (e.g. boards, my pins and my re-pins). I am more confident and organized in my overall strategy professionally as a blogger. The minor changes I made to my Pinterest approach after reading Melissa's book increased my followers by 20% (1000s) within 12 days of reading the book. I am more excited than ever about building my blog readership and community through Pinterest. Oh, lastly, Ms. Taylor writes extremely well. Concise and easy to read. Best time & money you'll spend on understanding and using Pinterest as a business tool.

"Genius Pinterest book by Melissa Taylor! Not only is her writing style easy to understand, but her super simple steps will make you Pinterest Savvy in no time at all. The perfect book for beginners looking to start a new account or Pin-Stars who are wanting a few new tips to give their current account a boost in followers and pin traffic. I highly recommend (and will) this book to anyone and everyone with even the slightest interest in the new trend of Pinterest."

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the Best Guide 4 April 2013
By Books, books, and more books - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I downloaded a couple of Pinterest guides and read this one first. By the time I finished this book I had decided that Pinterest was the last site I wanted to devote time to. The author doesn't venture far enough afield from her own interests - kids, etc. - to give an appealing vision of what you can do with Pinterest. And the initial pages of hard sell for her money-making let-me-teach-you-how-to-use-the-site endeavors were definitely a turn-off.

Luckily I had also downloaded Pinterest - Build Your Brand, Your Tribe, Your Sales (2nd Ed) which is much more fully fleshed out and gives a much better sense of what you can do with the site. If I start pinning it will be because of that book, not this one.

A more specific beef with this book is that while the author touches on the copyright issues that are a huge problem with Pinterest, she unfortunately doesn't seem to understand copyright basics. It's not "fine art" that is copyright protected - it's everyone's creations - my photos, your photos, etc. I'm not sure which is worse - don't mention the copyright elephant in the room, or to give incorrect advice about it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Should have known better 27 Mar 2013
By Daniel Hsu - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I read a lot of marketing books. Basically this is in the list of books that are for readers with very little experience in the topic, but like all good digital marketers the author knows how to title the book to attract even more experienced users. It's really like a pure affiliate marketing type title.

Basically, if you already use Pinterest and are truly aiming for 1mm followers, then I highly doubt the information in this book will help you do that.
