I like the illustrations in Disney books better than those in ladybird books. The text is more complex and for slightly older children. Unfortunately, the paper quality is of a very low standard. Not like the board golden books I used to have as a child.

My granddaughter loves this which is good enough for me. This old well loved taled is retold well in this little book. So much so that on y next trip to italy I did not pause until I found a lovely little Pinocchio puppet to bring home to Gabriella Ruby for necessary actions while reading this book, again and again, with her.
